Notice the excellent side protection from the Superslider kit. Tucks up nice and tight to the body too for maximum clearance.
Shopping for rock sliders?
Question 1... do you want cheap sliders which are for show, or ones that will last, and protect? Yes!
Question 2... do you want blunt ends on your sliders? So that they ram onto rocks instead of sliding over them? Slide....
Question 3... do you want to be able to use a HiLift on your sliders? Yes!
Question 4... do you want your rock sliders to look like a high school shop project, or a factory grade finished work of art? Of course yes!
Question 5... and for the love of God... Do you really want to WELD rock sliders to your vehicle? NO!!!!
Rocky Road's Rodeo Rock Sliders are the creme' de la creme' of the rocker protection world.
We use 3/16" inner hitch steel to make sure your bars do NOT bend! Anything other than hitch steel is just plain flimsy.
Most other Rodeo rock sliders are made from thin wall tube material.
Alot of shops refer to these as Nerf bars... an appropriate name since they will ofer about as much protection to your vehicle as a Nerf toy product would.
A good number of the Rodeo Rock Sliders we sell are to those who have actually bought these thinner bars and have bent them up.
Even slick looking dual tube designs that appear to offer better protection are still only made from 1/8" steel on the slider tube and will bend on a hard impact.
Our Rodeo Rock Sliders have a very sleek rounded look about them as we use genuine inner hitch steel in their construction.
Hitch steel is not only very strong, it also has a nice radius corner instead of a hard boxy look.
Inner hitch steel is the stuff you use to plug into 2" receiver hitches. Its sheer weight is astronomical as is its bending strength.
Our shop press goes to 100 tons and we can't even start to bend them.
Do you think a scrawny little rock can hurt these things? Think again!

Why hitch steel?
Why not go with a lesser gauge steel to save production costs?
Because we wouldn't trust anything less to protect our 4WD's and neither should you!
Besides, since these carry the Rocky Road **lifetime guarantee**, we don't want to have to replace them for you for free every couple years or so. We made them indestructible so they'll last forever and they are guaranteed forever, NEVER to bend on you!
Our rockrails are very simple to install and are completely 'bolt on'. Our Rockrails mount on the sub-frame as well as along the body seam.
Not mounting along the entire seam causes extreme stress with the leverage of an impact on the outer rocker itself.
Our design distributes the load across a broad area instead of focusing it on small spots.
Installation is made easier on many of our kits by marking strips which we include with every set. Instead of trying to juggle a 35lb rocker bar in place while you mark your holes, you simply clamp our thin steel marker strip onto the body seam and mark your mounting holes.
We use existing mounting holes whenever possible to minimize drilling on the vehicle. However, we don't sacrifice mounting strength so save a couple holes though.
You'll find our Rodeo Rock Sliders to be very attractive and will blend in nicely with your stock flares and moldings. Most all will run fender to fender and many folks have commented on their very OEM (factory) look. We tuck them very tight to the body to minimize the possibility of getting hung up.
All kits come in a sturdy, durable, and very attractive black powdercoat electrostatic and baked powdercoat finish.
Our Rodeo Rock Sliders have been installed and reviewed always with the highest marks by offroad magazines, websites, chat forums, etc. Rocky Road Rockrails are the strongest, thickest, and most protective bars on the market, with best mounting system, and are guaranteed NEVER to bend.
The extra slider tube up top with our Superslider kits also offers additional side protection on the trail and off the trail. One of our favorite uses of the Superslider is as a bash guard against other swinging doors in a parking. Imagine the dismay of the chump who just threw open his car door only to whack it on the solid steel of your Superslider.
He just stuck a nice dent in the edge of his door, your toy still looks cherry!
In a nutshell, if you want the very best, you have found it.
Same great mounting strength and overall design as our Superslider kits, but with that extra rear kick-out section in back. For years these have been hugely popular with the Toyota guys, and now Rocky Road is finally bringing them to Isuzu people!
Click the picture for a larger view of the Kicker Rock Sliders!
These kits offer superior protection, amazing good looks, and as you can see in the photo at left, the rear Kicker portion also features a Diamond Plate cover for a really cool look and the kit also provides excellent access for roof racks, as well as for use as a step into your Isuzu.
All photos are of the Superslider kit or the Kicker Rock Slider kit.
Standard Rockrails do not have the additional round tube bar. Our regular Rockrail kits consist of the main 2x2 square slider tube.
Same great strength, tight fit, protection, just without the additional outer tube.
NOTE: Our Superslider kits angle upward off the main slider bar for superior clearance on the trail... see pictures above.
Our FLAT-OUT Superslider kits provide a flat Superslider option, for those who want a wider flat step off the vehicle (same position as our Kicker Slider kits).

The world has discovered that Rocky Road parts are the absolute best on the planet. As a result of the somewhat overwhelming demand at this time for our kits, there can sometimes be a few weeks turnaround time. Please bear with us and understand sometimes the best things in life take just a little longer

Pictured at left is an example of an engineering detail of the Rocky Road Rockrail kits over others on the market. This just helps demonstrates one of the many superior engineering points in our system.
Notice the top picture at left is a Rocky Road rock slider kit. See the beveled edge? The nice 45* ramp which would slide up and over any rock or stump on the trail? Its takes more time and effort to manufacture the kits this way, but that's all included with the Rocky Road kits.
Now take a look at the lower picture at left. This is from a competitor. Similar pricing for the rocker kits, but they cut their production costs by making the end a blunt square. Run that thing into a rock and you can clearly see the trouble you will face. Its a battering ram, not a rock slider. It could stop your vehicle cold or require you to bash away until something gives. Why would they build their kits with this engineering defect? Simple... its cheaper to manufacture with the flat end, so that's what they go with.
Also notice how much further down their kit hangs. Rocky Road kits tuck up tight!
This is one easily observed engineering advantage the Rocky Road kit offers... but there are many more.
