Shopping for rock sliders???
Question 1... do you want cheap sliders which are for show, or ones that will last, and protect? Yes!
Question 2... do you want blunt ends on your sliders? So that they ram onto rocks instead of sliding over them? Slide....
Question 3... do you want to be able to use a HiLift on your sliders? Yes!
Question 4... do you want your rock sliders to keep rocks OFF and AWAY from your body, unlike the angled bent-steel rocker kits on the market? Of course yes!
Question 5... and for the love of God... Do you really want to bolt a slider right to your side panels with no triangulation, or worse... WELD?? NO!!!!
These are the most basic questions in shopping for rock sliders.
The BEST kit, the BEST protection for your Jeep, is not the cheapest.
Yes, you can find cheaper and more poorly designed sliders than Rocky Road, but RRO kits are the best built in our industry, lifetime guarantee, ramped ends instead of 'ramming' ends, strong enough to easily handle a Hilift jack (whereas most others will not), triangulated mounting systems, easy bolton, powdercoat finish, available in several different styles and levels of side impact protection.

Rocky Road Rockrails/Rock Sliders are the creme' de la creme' of the rocker protection world. We offer the world's largest selection of true rocker protection for your 4WD vehicle. No other manufacturer on the planet knows, engineers, or builds rock slider protection than Rocky Road... no one!
VIEW HOW STRONG ROCKY ROAD ROCK SLIDERS ARE IN ACTION...
To begin with, we use 3/16" inner hitch steel to make sure your bars do NOT bend! Anything other than hitch steel is just plain flimsy. Most other rocker bars are made from thin 1/8" wall tube material. Alot of shops refer to these as Nerf bars or even 'super' nerf bars... an appropriate name since they will offer about as much protection to your vehicle as a Nerf toy product would.
A good number of the Rockrails we sell are to those who have actually bought these thinner bars from other companies or local 4WD shops, or worse... factory installed tubes, and have bent them up. Save yourself the money and headache and buy Rocky Road first.
Our Rockrails have a very sleek rounded look about them as we use genuine inner hitch steel in their construction. Hitch steel is not only very strong, it also has a nice radius corner instead of a hard boxy look. Inner hitch steel is the stuff you use to plug into 2" receiver hitches. Its sheer weight is astronomical as is its bending strength. Our shop press goes to 100 tons and we can't even start to bend them. Do you think a scrawny little rock can hurt these things? Think again!
Why 3/16" hitch steel? Why not go with a lesser gauge steel to save production costs? Because we wouldn't trust anything less to protect our 4WD's and neither should you!

Pictured at left is an example of an engineering detail of the Rocky Road Rockrail kits over others on the market. This just helps demonstrates one of the many superior engineering points in our system.
Notice the top picture at left is a Rocky Road rock slider kit. See the beveled edge? The nice 45* ramp which would slide up and over any rock or stump on the trail? Its takes more time and effort to manufacture the kits this way, but that's all included with the Rocky Road kits.
Now take a look at the lower picture at left. This is from a competitor. Rocky Road always has similar or LOWER pricing for the rocker kits, but our competitors still cut their production costs by making the end a blunt square. Run that thing into a rock and you can clearly see the trouble you will face. Its a battering ram, not a rock slider. It could stop your vehicle cold or require you to bash away until something gives. Why would they build their kits with this engineering defect? Simple... its cheaper to manufacture with the flat end, so that's what they go with.
Also notice how much further down their kit hangs. Rocky Road kits tuck up tight!
These are a couple easily observed engineering advantages the Rocky Road kits offer... but there are many more.
Our rockrails are very simple to install and are completely 'bolt on'. No welding or cutting is ever required and anyone can install these. No need for professional installation or welding. Our Rockrails are engineered to mount on the sub-frame as well as along the body seam.
Not mounting along the entire seam causes extreme stress with the leverage of an impact on the outer rocker itself. Our design distributes the load across a broad area instead of focusing it on small spots. Installation is made easier on many of our kits by marking strips which we include with every set. Instead of trying to juggle a 35lb rocker bar in place while you mark your holes, you simply clamp our thin steel marker strip onto the body seam and mark your mounting holes.
We use existing mounting holes whenever possible to minimize drilling on the vehicle. However, we don't sacrifice mounting strength so save a couple holes.

Also available are the Rocky Road Super-sliders. These rocker bars offer all the strength and warranty of our regular Rockrails, but with the added bonus of an additional upper tube. This upper tube can provide even more protection against sliding into rocks, trees, or other trail hazards. Everyone who has seen these on our shop 4x4s has wanted a pair. They are unequaled in strength and looks.
The Superslider kits also make an excellent step for access to roof racks and such. The Supersliders are replacing the Steprails that were available for a number of vehicles.
Each Superslider kit mounts identical to the standard Rockrail for the vehicle. It also still features that great looking 45* front and rear edge. Not only good for looks, but alot more practical for trail use than our competition's squared off ends.
This is basically the same proven design as our world famous Rockrails, only with the extra slider tube up top. We don't have pictures of the Super-sliders for all vehicles, but the basic look is the same for all.
The extra slider tube up top offers additional side protection on the trail and off the trail. One of our favorite uses of the Superslider is as a bash guard against other swinging doors in a parking. Imagine the dismay of the chump who just threw open his car door only to whack it on the solid steel of your Superslider. He just stuck a nice dent in the edge of his door, your Toy still looks cherry!
Same great mounting strength and overall design as our Superslider kits, but with that extra rear kick-out section in back. For years these have been hugely popular with the Toyota guys, and now Rocky Road is finally bringing them to everyone!

These kits offer superior protection, amazing good looks, and as you can see in the photo at left, the rear Kicker portion also features a Diamond Plate cover for a really cool look and the kit also provides excellent access for roof racks, as well as for use as a step into your Jeep.

New Ford BRONCO Rock Slider
NOTE: Most Superslider kits angle upward off the main slider bar for superior clearance on the trail, a few models sit flat off the vehicle for door clearance requirements.
Our FLAT-OUT Superslider kits provide a flat Superslider option for all vehicles, for those who want a wider flat step off the vehicle (same position as our Kicker Slider kits).

The world has discovered that Rocky Road parts are the absolute best on the planet. As a result of the somewhat overwhelming demand at this time for our kits, there can sometimes be a few weeks turnaround time. Please bear with us and understand sometimes the best things in life take just a little longer
PLEASE NOTE: Our goal is to offer Rockrails for as many 4WD's, SUV's, and mid-size pickups as possible (sorry, no full-size rigs).
Doesn't matter if it is Toyota, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Jeep, Hummer, Isuzu, Ford, Chevy, Land Rover....
If you don't see a listing for your particular model or year, and live in the Salt Lake City area, you could earn yourself a heavily discounted set of rock sliders, and the installation is free of charge.
We are looking for prototype vehicles. You just drop the vehicle by our shop for a couple days while we design, build, and mount the Rockrails.... then you drive away with new rocker protection.
