Rocky Road's Frontier Rock Sliders are the creme' de la creme' of the rocker protection world. We use 3/16" inner hitch steel to make sure your bars do NOT bend!
Anything else is just plain flimsy. Most other Frontier rocker sliders are made from thin wall material and a good number of the Frontier Rock Sliders we sell are to those who have bought these thinner bars and have bent them up.
VIEW HOW STRONG ROCKY ROAD ROCK SLIDERS ARE ON ANOTHER VEHICLE, IN ACTION...
We know, we've replaced many of them for customers as well. At 1/4" thick, ours are the absolute strongest rocker protection you can buy in the universe.
By far, the best and easiest on the market to install!
Read on below for more information on the mounting
We've had questions about the mounting system. Some kits mount to the frame for this vehicle.... bad, bad idea. Unless you are planning to weld the rock sliders to your frame and are skilled enough not to overheat and create more problems, after a few whacks, the bolts on frame mounted rock sliders will begin to loosen and tear out. The problem is that the frame is so far out from the point of impact, that leverage is fighting against you. Actually put those kits to the test and they will work loose and fail over time. Don't be duped, be smart... you can't fight leverage when several thousand lbs comes crashing down on a rock or log.
Our solid mounting system triangulates the mounting for a more durable and stronger system. Your truck also have a great deal of flex between the body and frame. Frame mounted rockers have to mount pretty low so that when this flex occurs, the bars don't hit your body paint. Our unique mounitng system allows us to tuck the Slider bars up higher for not only better looks, but also greater clearance.
The Frontier Rock Sliders have a very sleek rounded look about them as we use genuine inner hitch steel in their construction. Some kits go cheap on finish and just chop a square end on their rock sliders. Not only does it look cheap, but you end up with a blunt battering ram instead of a nice smooth rock slider.
We take the time to ramp the ends of our Rockrails so that they actually SLIDE over obstacles, not ram into them as with the competition's square end kits. We also use hitch steel in our construction which is not only very strong, it also has a nice radius corner instead of a hard boxy look. Inner hitch steel is the stuff you use to plug into 2" receiver hitches. Its sheer weight is astronomical as is its bending strength. Our shop press only goes to 100 tons and we can't even start to bend them. Do you think a scrawny little rock can hurt these things? Think again!
Besides, since these carry the Rocky Road **lifetime guarantee**, we don't want to have to replace them for you for free every couple years or so. We made them indestructible so they'll last forever and they are guaranteed forever, NEVER to bend on you!
Some folks ask if they can handle a HiLift jack. HA! If a rock slider cannot handle a gentle upward push from a HiLift, how is it supposed to block an assault by a full body slam on a rock??? Our Frontier Rock Sliders can handle anything and everything you can throw at them and are guaranteed for life against denting or bending.
Tight fitting for maximum clearance while still giving a good zone of protection.
This truck also has our ARB Bull Bar bumper!

So if you want a flimsy mounting system that hangs too low and looks horrible with square ends... better shop at our competition. If you are looking for the best mounting system, sleekest look, smoothest trail profile, with maximum clearance, you have found the right place.

The Superslider and Kicker kits mount identical to the Frontier Rock Slider. It also still features that great looking 45* front and rear edge. Not only good for looks, but alot more practical for trail use than our competition's squared off ends. This is basically the same proven design as our world famous Rock Sliders, only with the extra slider tube up top. We don't have pictures of the Supersliders for the Frontier at this time, but the basic look is the same for all so check out the pics to the right for a good idea on this awesome design.
The Kicker Rock Slider kits for years these have been hugely popular with the Toyota guys, and now Rocky Road is finally bringing them to Nissan people!
These kits offer superior protection, amazing good looks, and as you can see in the photo at left, the rear Kicker portion also features a Diamond Plate cover for a really cool look and the kit also provides excellent access for roof racks, as well as for use as a step into your Nissan.
Also check out our newest kits, the Full Cover Kicker slider.
