Yes, you may find cheaper and more poorly designed sliders than Rocky Road, but RRO kits are the best built in our industry, lifetime guarantee, ramped ends instead of 'ramming' ends, strong enough to easily handle a Hilift jack (whereas most others will not), bolted mounting systems (NEVER WELDED... a HORRIBLE way to go!), powdercoat finish, available in several different styles and levels of side impact protection.

Rocky Road H3 Rock Sliders are the creme' de la creme' of the rocker protection world. We use 3/16" inner hitch steel to make sure your bars do NOT bend! Anything other than hitch steel is just plain flimsy. Most other rocker bars are made from thin 1/8" wall tube material. Alot of shops refer to these as Nerf bars. an appropriate name since they will ofer about as much protection to your vehicle as a Nerf toy product would. A good number of the H3 Rock Sliders we sell are to those who have actually bought these thinner bars and have bent them up. Take a look at the photo below for a great example of OUR vs. THEIRS. If you think the factory rock tubes are strong.... you ain't seen nothing compared to the Rocky Road kit. Nothing on the market is stronger or safer for your H3.

Here's a fun way to check out the Rocky Road Sliders. A You Tube video from Alex Neville:

Hey,
Thought you might enjoy a little video of the sliders getting a workout on my H3. The main part occurs about one minute into this video.
The other H3 and and the Land Rover wouldn't try this section as they didn't have the rocker protection and the H2 was too wide to try it. I love the Rocky Road super sliders!!!
Thanks,
Alex Neville.

Even slick looking dual round tube designs that appear to offer better protection are still only made from 1/8" steel and will bend on a hard impact. Not the Rocky Road sliders.  Our H3 Rock Sliders have a very sleek rounded look about them as we use genuine inner hitch steel in their construction. Hitch steel is not only very strong, it also has a nice radius corner instead of a hard boxy look. Inner hitch steel is the stuff you use to plug into 2" receiver hitches.

Its sheer weight is astronomical as is its bending strength. Our shop press goes to 50 tons and we can't even start to bend them. Do you think a scrawny little rock can hurt these things? Think again!

Why hitch steel? Why not go with a lesser gauge steel to save production costs?
Because we wouldn't trust anything less to protect our 4WD's and neither should you!

Besides, since these carry the Rocky Road **lifetime guarantee** against bending and denting, and we don't want to have to replace them for you for free every couple years or so. We made them indestructible so they'll last forever and they are guaranteed forever, NEVER to bend on you! You will not find this guarantee on any other rocker protection kit on the planet mainly because they just don't have our level of strength and design engineering.

Hummer H3 Rock Slider kits, the Strongest!

At left.. try and guess which is the Rocky Road Rock Slider....
The other would be from our competition after 1 trip thru the Rubicon.
The mounting legs are supposed to be straight, and the bar has just been crushed and mangled.
It was advertised as a "rockrail" for protection. Our competition's kit protected nothing and failed in its first test.

Our H3 Rock Sliders are very simple to install and are completely 'bolt on'. Our sliders mount directly to the factory bolt holes so no drilling is required.

Our H3 Rock Sliders also feature our Super Slider design which is the second outer slider tube for extra protection from the side AND a great step for accessing roofracks and such. This tubing is made from 100% DOM and is strong beyond belief.

The extra slider tube up top offers additional side protection on the trail and off the trail. One of our favorite uses of the Superslider is as a bash guard against other swinging doors in a parking. Imagine the dismay of the chump who just threw open his car door only to whack it on the solid steel of your Superslider. He just stuck a nice dent in the edge of his door, your toy still looks cherry!

You'll find our H3 Rock Sliders very attractive and will blend in nicely with your stock flares, mudflaps, and moldings. We tuck them very tight to

the body to minimize the possibility of getting hung up.

All kits come in a sturdy, durable, and very attractive black powdercoat electrostatic and baked powdercoat finish.

Rocky Road Rock Slider kits have been installed and reviewed always with the highest marks by offroad magazines, websites, chat forums, etc. Rocky Road Rock Slider kits are the strongest, thickest, and most protective bars on the market, with best mounting system, and are guaranteed NEVER to bend. You read correctly, these come with a lifetime guarantee to never bend or dent. No other rock slider on the market would, or could dare make this offer.

And yes, our kits will work on the H3 Alpha model. We also have kits for the H3T truck model Hummer. These things are monsters built with superheavy duty mounting (just like all our rock slider kits) to take the abuse your truck can dish out. Rocky Road is the first to introduce a true, 100% hardcore rock slider for the H3T.

Hummer H3 / H3T Kicker Rock Slider kits!

Same great mounting strength and overall design as our Superslider kits, but with that extra rear kick-out section in back. For years these have been hugely popular with the Toyota guys, and now Rocky Road is finally bringing them to Hummer people!

These kits offer superior protection, amazing good looks, and as you can see in the photo at left, the rear Kicker portion also features a Diamond Plate cover for a really cool look and the kit also provides excellent access for roof racks, as well as for use as a step into your Jeep.

In a nutshell... if you want the very best, look no further because you have found it.

Check out the video below for Mark Kauten's rock sliders....

NOTE: Superslider kits angle upward off the main slider bar for superior clearance on the trail.
Our FLAT-OUT Superslider kits provide a flat Superslider option, for those who want a wider flat step off the vehicle (same position as our Kicker Slider kits).

The world has discovered that Rocky Road parts are the absolute best on the planet. As a result of the somewhat overwhelming demand at this time for our kits, there can sometimes be a few weeks turnaround time. Please bear with us and understand sometimes the best things in life take just a little longer

Pictured, is an example of an engineering detail of the Rocky Road Rockrail kits over others on the market. This just helps demonstrates one of the many superior engineering points in our system.

Notice the top picture at left is a Rocky Road rock slider kit. See the beveled edge? The nice 45* ramp which would slide up and over any rock or stump on the trail? Its takes more time and effort to manufacture the kits this way, but that's all included with the Rocky Road kits.

Now take a look at the lower picture at left. This is from a competitor. We have lower prices, yet they still cut their production costs by making the end a blunt square. Run that thing into a rock and you can clearly see the trouble you will face. Its a battering ram, not a rock slider. It could stop your vehicle cold or require you to bash away until something gives. Why would they build their kits with this engineering defect? Simple... its cheaper to manufacture with the flat end, so that's what they go with.

Also notice how much further down their kit hangs. Rocky Road kits tuck up tight!

This is one easily observed engineering advantage the Rocky Road kits offers... but there are many more.
