Question:
What is the single most exposed component on your entire vehicle? Want a hint? How about, what is the lowest point on your 4WD and therefore the most prone to smashing into rocks, stumps, whatever.... Now you're getting the picture, YOUR AXLES!
All it takes is a split second miscalculation in your otherwise precise, skillful, and dare we say.... quite masterful vehicle driving (we're not trying to 'kiss up' here :^) and your vehicle may be incapacitated from a leaking housing or broken ring gear.

Solid steel tubing makes this thing indestructible!
That danger makes these an absolute must for the serious offroad enthusiast. From a bone-stock vehicle on up to a competition Rock champion, differential guards are THE most basic and essential items for any 4WD that sees dirt time. No more worries about rocks taking out our ring gears.
Our differential guards use thick steel plate for the base ring. This helps spread the load of any impact over the surface of the differential. The armor structure is a very beefy cold rolled round stock for the hoops and bars. Solid round stock is used to take away the chance of the tube collapsing or crushing. Each guard is jig welded for precise fitment every time and clamped for the cooling procedure to help ensure a good straight girdle.
All welds are cleaned and sharp spots are buffed off to leave a clean and smooth product. They are shipped with a black powder coated finish for a great look when installed.
On the right, you see the Dana 44 guard.
Please note: Some diff covers with raised lips will need to have the lips ground flush with the bolt flange for the guards to bolt on. It is also possible that due to the many styles of covers on the market and available from the aftermarket dealers, the guards might need to be ground to allow correct clearance of cover.
To install, you simply remove your diff cover (its about time you changed your gear oil anyway isn't it? :^) and reinstall with the Differential Guard placed over the bolt flange. Low profile of the guard keeps it tucked in tight to the diff cover.
Axles with drop-out 3rd members require welding for installation. These include axles such as the Ford 9", Toyota, and Suzuki axles. Easy to install and still powdercoated, our weld-on guards protect every bit as well as our bolt-ons
AMC 20 / Hummer diff guards.
The same differential on a Hummer as on an old CJ? Interesting eh?
We carry Diff guards for most axles found on serious offroad vehicles. If you don't see one listed for your vehicle, let us know. Who knows, we may start production on it if there is demand.... or it may already be in the works and on its way to your axle in no time.

We also carry the ARB brand Diff Guards. Click for more information on these.
