High range reduction is about 20% which is excellent for 32-33" tires without having to touch the ring and pinions. Rocky Road Crawler gears do work great with any tire size 31-36" though. What this means for you is a properly geared system while maintaining full factory ring and pinion strength. Feel the POWER both on and offroad with these revolutionary gears. Precise manufacturing tolerances exceed anything currently produced in the United States, and are also substantially quieter than other gearsets coming to market. The Creeper gears are also much stronger than any other 6:1 due to their innovative larger tooth pattern. They are also the only gears on the planet to come with ground teeth for better noise control on the highway. As well, they are built from +9000 series alloy which dwarfs the strength rating of weaker 8620 alloy gears coming to market. Samurai transfer cases came with two bolt patterns, 1988 was the switch-over year. If you have a 14mm bolt head at your driveshaft flanges, then please select the tcase option with the larger flanges.
4.16 Crawler Gear kits.
Replaces transfer case gears to reduce your low range a whopping 83% and the hi range 12%. This helps bring your power back on line when you get into those larger tires. If you've lost the use of 5th gear with your Zuk, our tcase gears will put you back toward stock gearing and bring your highway power back up. The low range makes your vehicle virtually unstoppable on the trail with your new "tractor" gears. The very best instructions in the industry for do it yourselfers. Lots of crystal clear photographs (no photocopies of photocopies of.... as with other kits on the market) and easy to follow text. Or we can install them into a rebuilt case for you! Kit itself comes with the replacement gears. Our gears also carry a LIFETIME warranty. Some manufacturers claim that genuine Suzuki gears may not hold up... bald-faced lies. We proudly and easily offer a lifetime warranty for our gears for as long as you own the vehicle. In the well over 1,000 gearsets we have sold thru the years, not one single gearset has had a problem. A track record that one-piece gearsets can not top!!!
Crawler gears can also be ordered installed into a rebuilt transfer case. We go thru the case, clean it, change out all the bearings and seals, make it like new.... only better. It will be ready for another 20years of service. Our rebuilt t-cases are also available with the no cost option of the Split-H 2WD low shift pattern. A great choice for those who flat tow their vehicles as it offers a true neutral shift position.
