Rocky Road's Tundra Rock Sliders are the creme' de la creme' of the rocker protection world. We use 3/16" inner hitch steel to make sure your bars do NOT bend! Anything other than hitch steel is just plain flimsy.
Most other Tundra rock sliders are made from thin 1/8" wall tube material. Alot of shops refer to these as Nerf bars. an appropriate name since they will offer about as much protection to your vehicle as a Nerf toy product would.

Our Tundra Rock Sliders have a very sleek rounded look about them as we use genuine inner hitch steel in their construction. Hitch steel is not only very strong, it also has a nice radius corner instead of a hard boxy look. Inner hitch steel is the stuff you use to plug into 2" receiver hitches. Its sheer weight is astronomical as is its bending strength. Our shop press goes to 50 tons and we can't even start to bend them. Do you think a scrawny little rock can hurt these things? Think again!
Why hitch steel for construction?
Why not go with a lesser gauge steel to save production costs?
Because we wouldn't trust anything less to protect our 4WD's and neither should you! Besides, since these carry the Rocky Road **lifetime guarantee**, we don't want to have to replace them for you for free every couple years or so. We made them indestructible so they'll last forever and they are guaranteed forever, NEVER to bend on you!
Our Tundra rock sliders are very simple to install and are completely 'bolt on'. Our Rock Sliders mount on the sub-frame as well as along the body seam.
We use existing mounting holes whenever possible to minimize drilling on the vehicle. However, we don't sacrifice mounting strength so save a couple holes though.
You'll find our Tundra Rock Sliders to be very attractive and will blend in nicely with your stock flares and moldings. Most all will run fender to fender and many folks have commented on their very OEM (factory) look.
We tuck them very tight to the body to minimize the possibility of getting hung up.

At left you see our new KICKER ROCK SLIDERS. We do not have a photo for the Tundra at this time. If you pick up a set and are the first to send us some good photos we can use on our website, we will give you a $50 refund for your effort.
All kits come in a sturdy, durable, and very attractive black powdercoat electrostatic and baked powdercoat finish.
Our Tundra Rock Sliders have been installed and reviewed always with the highest marks by offroad magazines, websites, chat forums, etc. Rocky Road Rockrails are the strongest, thickest, and most protective bars on the market, with best mounting system, and are guaranteed NEVER to bend. In a nutshell, if you want the very best, you have found it.
All photos on this webpage are of the Superslider kits or Kicker Rock Slider. Standard Rockrails do not have the additional/second round outer tube. Our regular Rockrail kits consist of the main 2x2 square slider tube. Same great strength, tight fit, protection, just without the additional outer tube. Kicker Rock sliders, as shown above, also come with the Diamond Plate cover!

The extra slider tube up top offers additional side protection on the trail and off the trail. One of our favorite uses of the Superslider is as a bash guard against other swinging doors in a parking. Imagine the dismay of the chump who just threw open his car door only to whack it on the solid steel of your Superslider. He just stuck a nice dent in the edge of his door, your Toy still looks cherry!
Nothing protects like the Rocky Road Supersliders and Kicker Rock Sliders!

Notice the top picture at right is a Toyota Tundra Rocky Road rock slider kit. See the beveled edge? The nice 45* ramp which would slide up and over any rock or stump on the trail? Its takes more time and effort to manufacture the kits this way, but that's all included with the Rocky Road kits.
Now take a look at the lower picture at right. This is from a competitor. Similar pricing for the rocker kits, but they cut their production costs by making the end a blunt square. Run that thing into a rock and you can clearly see the trouble you will face. Its a battering ram, not a rock slider. It could stop your vehicle cold or require you to bash away until something gives. Why would they build their kits with this engineering defect? Simple... its cheaper to manufacture with the flat end, so that's what they go with.
Also notice how much further down their kit hangs, and this is typical of most all our competitor's kits. Rocky Road rock sliders as in the upper picture always tuck up nice and tight no matter what the vehicle!
This is but a couple easily observed engineering advantages the Rocky Road kit offers... but there are many more.
If you do not see a kit for your model Tundra and live in the northern Utah area, please email us. If we can use your Tundra as a prototype vehicle, you will receive a free set of Rockrails for parking your truck at our shop for a couple days.
The world has discovered that Rocky Road parts are the absolute best on the planet. As a result of the somewhat overwhelming demand at this time for our kits, there can sometimes be a few weeks turnaround time. Please bear with us and understand sometimes the best things in life take just a little longer
