Safari rack for your Grand Vitara / Roof rack

This rack system is designed specifically for the 4door Grand Vitara, 2006 and newer. As you may be aware with your vehicle, the rack system (or lack thereof) on your GV makes it very tough to carry additional equipment very easily. Rocky Road to the rescue!

Part 1 of our system is a steel tube rai lsystem we manufacture. This bolts into the factory holes on your vehicle (you just need to remove the slotted inserts on the top of your roof for this). Our rails then give you a good variety of options for roof-top carriers.

For the VERY best rack on the market, you can pick up our Garvin Wilderness rack which will mount right up to the Rocky Road roof rails. The Garvin system is shown below on this webpage and it the strongest and most adaptable rack system on the planet. You can carry anything and adapt any other rack manufacturer's accessories to fit.

Or, if you want to go a little more light duty on your rack, our system is compatible with the Yakima rack system since they use a round tube style system for their racks.

Our roof rail kit is very easy to install. Everyone can do it themselves. You simply remove the stock plastic roof inserts and our rails will bolt right into place. Our system is steel construction and so very strong. As you can see from the photos, very attractive too.

For the ultimate in a great looking safari rack at top quality, we offer racks by Garvin. Manufactured from 3/4" HD steel tubing, these racks will mount to our Rocky Road roof rails. Available in a 4" height, they are powdercoated black for a durable lasting finish. And best of all... bolt together to make it UPSable. Check out our information below for these great rack systems. All Racks come with Floor kits included as shown. Wilderness Racks also come with a wide range of great accessories. Every rack uses a double crossbar system engineered for heavy duty service and to provide support for the floor kit.

Super cool prerunner style spare tire mount is manufactured from stout 1/4" steel plate. Features all grade 5 Zinc coated hardware, chain locking system, and black powdercoating. Fully adjustable for any size tire/wheel combo.

Roof rack light brackets are also a great feature we like. Designed to bolt or clamp into existing holes in the rack, they are powdercoated with grade 5 zinc hardware. Designed to fit any light with a bottom stud mount. 4" or 6"

Never hit the trail without your trusty axe and shovel... and don't get clobbered or chopped by it when the goibng gets rough and parts start moving inside your Jeep. This mount system gives you a solid and safe way to carry your gear.

Yet more cool stuff for your rack. The Hilift mount gives you a great way to carry your jack, with quick and easy access. Also alows you to place a lock to secure your HiLift for duty around town and less secure environments. Very solid and very safe mounting system for this heavy piece of mandatory trail equipment.

Unique to the Wilderness rack system is the Gas Can, or Water Can carrier system. This kit allows you to safely and securely carry these containers up top. A great item for the adventurer who finds pleasure in getting away from it all. The strap system is a cam lock that really snugs the container into place.
